KEY FUNCTION: The Year-Round Program / Event Volunteer supports the Planning Committee and helps promote our organization throughout the year with family activities, camp programs, errands, and additional administrative tasks needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum age of 18 years required
Minimum of 2 years of prior camp experience (preferably at Camp Hobé)
Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and organize materials
Computer skills, including e-mail, word-processing, spreadsheet, and database
Ability to follow-through on assigned tasks
Punctual and reliable
Self-motivated, good character, adaptability, enthusiasm, and sense of humor, patience and self-control
Open and honest in relationships; willing to learn from experience
Flexible and able to respond positively to changes in duties or schedule
Pass a criminal background check
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support such as mailing, copies, Excel reports as needed, make presentations to help support Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Volunteer Coordinator.
Attend and distribute promotional materials at in-person fundraising, recruiting, or family events throughout the year as schedule allows. Must volunteer at a minimum of 2 events/year.
Encourage an atmosphere of respect, acceptance, & enthusiasm.
Follow all organization policies, rules, and regulations.
Support Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Volunteer Coordinator with supply and donation pick-up and drop-off for events throughout the year.
Complete training and review education materials about our organization.
Other duties as needed or desired.

POSITION TYPE: Year-Round Volunteer position duties will occur primarily during the off-season, July through May. Setting includes at-home office duties, family events, and volunteer recruiting events throughout the year. May need some onsite assistance during the summer camp sessions with supply runs, or specific camp activities. Flexible schedule, with specific dates to be arranged with staff.
