Camp Hobé is
held at Camp Wapiti in Settlement Canyon near Tooele, Utah. The
Utah Elks built and
fund the facility, which is used by other health camps throughout
the year.
The site includes
A main lodge
17 cabins
Shower and bath facilities
An infirmary with treatment and isolation
rooms
Recreational facilities that include an outdoor pavilion,
swimming pool, arts and crafts cabin, and sand pit volleyball
court
Camp Wapiti is a beautiful place, facilitating both the
medical and camping needs of the children. Oncology-trained
pediatric
nurses and a pediatric physician staff the onsite infirmary,
providing
medications and routine care during the camp session.
Campers are assigned to specific cabin groups based on their age.
They live with this group during their stay
at camp, eating
meals,
sleeping, and participating in activities together.
The
entire camp comes together at mealtimes, morning
flagpole ceremony,
evening campfire,
and for other special activities.
The kitchen
staff prepares fresh, well-balanced meals for campers daily.
